LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS
Santa Maria del Camí enjoys a privileged location. At the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range and only 14 kilometres from Palma, it has excellent connections to any point on the island. It covers 38 square kilometres of the Es Raiguer comarca (county), an extension of territory located in the centre-north of the island, which runs parallel to the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, from Marratxí to Sa Pobla. The region is named after its geomorphology, since it is nestled between the mountain range (Tramuntana) and the plain (Pla de Mallorca).
Getting there by car
Santa Maria is well connected to neighbouring towns and with the capital of the island via the Ma-13A road (old Inca road) and the MA-13 motorway (exit 12) that connects Palma with Alcúdia. The trip from Son Sant Joan airport takes approximately 20 minutes.
Llegar por carretera Santa María está muy bien comunicada con los municipios vecinos y con la capital de la isla, por la carretera Ma-13a (carretera vieja de Inca) y la autopista MA-13 (salida número 12) que unen Palma con Alcúdia. El trayecto desde el aeropuerto de Son Sant Joan dura aproximadamente 20 minutos.
Getting there by train
The Palma-Manacor train line stops at the Santa Maria station, on Calle Sant Antoni, which is a major advantage for the town, offering even more ways to get around. The train that runs between Palma, Inca and Manacor stops in Santa Maria, and the journey between Palma and Santa Maria takes only 15 minutes. A train passes through Santa Maria every 20 minutes in both directions (towards Palma or towards Sa Pobla/Manacor).

La línea de ferrocarril Palma-Manacor tiene parada en la estación de Santa María, en la calle Sant Antoni, lo que es un privilegio para el pueblo al dotarlo de más posibilidades de comunicación. El tren que une Palma, Inca y Manacor se para en Santa María, siendo un trayecto entre Palma y Santa María de únicamente 15 minutos. Pasa un tren por Santa María cada 20 minutos en las dos direcciones (hacia Palma o hacia Sa Pobla/Manacor).
